Description

This Non-Alcoholic Espresso Martini is a buzz-free version of a classic cocktail. It’s made with zero-proof coffee liqueur, freshly brewed espresso, and homemade brown sugar syrup. It’s wonderfully smooth and has a delicious balance of flavors!


Ingredients

Brown Sugar Syrup:

  • 1 cup (200 g) dark brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup (250 ml) water

Espresso Martini:

  • 1 1/4 oz (37 ml) espresso
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Lyre’s Coffee Originale
  • 1 oz (30 ml) homemade brown sugar syrup
  • 1 bar spoon (1/2 tsp) vanilla bean paste
  • Espresso beans, for garnish

Instructions

Brown Sugar Syrup:

  1. Add the dark brown sugar and water to a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir frequently until the sugar has dissolved then bring to a boil.
  2. Remove from the heat and store in an airtight glass container. Cool to room temperature before sealing and storing in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.

Non-Alcoholic Espresso Martini:

  1. Add the espresso, Coffee Originale, brown sugar syrup, and vanilla bean paste to a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds until chilled.
  2. Strain into a martini or coupe glass and garnish with a few espresso beans.
