Welcome to Fanciful Eats! We’re a mother and daughter team from Austin, TX with a passion for all things food, travel, and music. We’ve always wanted to work together to share our love for food. Throughout the years we found inspiration from movies such as It’s Complicated as well as tea shops during our travels in London. From wanting to open our own bakery to wanting our own tea shop, food was always on our minds.
In 2020, we found ourselves at home with little to do but cook and bake. So we finally decided to take the plunge and create our own blog where we could share recipes straight from home! Here, on Fanciful Eats, you’ll find unique recipes ranging from healthy to rich and indulgent.

Hi Guys, I’m Nadine. My food journey began in the third grade with the purchase of my first cookbook at a school book fair. I remember the beautiful picture of the bright berry dessert on the cover that I just had to have. Before I even knew anything about food photography, I was hooked by all the beautiful recipes inside – and just like that my love of cooking had begun! Not long afterward, with the help of my mother I had perfected baking my own homemade buttermilk biscuits. As the youngest of seven children, someone was always hungry and I’m sure the extra help in the kitchen was greatly appreciated. These days I still love to cook for my family, travel, attend concerts, try new restaurants and create my own recipes with my daughter, Celeste.

Hi there, I’m Celeste – the one behind the camera! I’m a self-taught food photographer, recipe developer, and avid baker. After graduating from college in the spring of 2020, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. At the time I knew I was passionate about two things: music and food. While I love music, I realized I was more of listener than a creator. And while I was in college, I found myself spending a lot of time on food blogs. Plus, my mom and I were always talking about creating something that had to do with food. So here we are! Our very own blog!
While most of the baked recipes on here are created by me, I like to dabble in savory foods from time to time. I’m naturally more of a savory person, but I fell in love with baking sweet things when I had little else to do in my free time. Now I get excited when I find new things to try and how I can create my own. I hope you take the time to try our recipes and enjoy making them as much as we do!
