Ingredient Notes
Find the full list of ingredients, measurements, and instructions in the recipe card below!
- Plain Unsweetened Almond Milk: You can use another plant-based milk like oat milk or soy milk.
- Coconut Milk: This makes the smoothie extra creamy and adds a bit of coconut flavor.
- Frozen Strawberries: We use whole frozen strawberries.
- Fresh Ginger: Be sure to peel it before adding it to your smoothie.
- Manuka Honey: This “superfood” is slightly bitter compared to regular honey. If you opt for regular honey, you’ll need significantly less in your smoothie.
- Vanilla Bean Paste: If you only have vanilla extract, use ½ tsp.
- Collagen Peptides: We like to add this to our smoothies but you don’t have to.
Step-by-Step Instructions
This section provides a general overview as well as any pictures to guide you through the recipe. The full detailed recipe instructions are in the recipe card at the bottom of the post.
1. Add everything to a high-speed blender. Blend until smooth and liquidy. If you’re using collagen peptides, these can easily get stuck to the sides of the blender, so be sure to scrape them down and blend for a few more seconds.
2. Serve. Pour into a tall glass and enjoy!
Optional Add-ins
Feel free to add any of these to your smoothie and make adjustments as needed.
- Hemp hearts
- Chia seeds
- Greek yogurt
- Protein powder
- A splash of citrus like orange or lemon juice
