Equipment

Ingredients
 

  • 2 shots espresso
  • ¾ cup (180 ml) barista blend almond milk we use Califia
  • 1 tbsp tahini
  • 1 ½ tbsp pure maple syrup
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon plus more for garnish
  • 1 pinch flaky sea salt
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  • Add the espresso to a mug and set aside.
  • Pour the almond milk into a small saucepan and place over medium heat. Heat until steamy and simmering.
  • Turn off the heat and add the tahini, maple syrup, cinnamon, and good pinch of flaky sea salt.
  • Use a handheld milk frother to mix and froth the milk.
  • Pour the milk over the espresso and top with cinnamon and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Almond Milk: Barista blend almond milk is thicker and froths much better than regular almond milk. Plus, it doesn't have that burnt taste that regular almond milk has when heated.
  • Feel free to use any other kind of milk. Though, we recommend sticking with a barista blend if you're using nut or oat milk.
