Stay cool during the summer with this Virgin Pineapple Daiquiri. Made with fresh and frozen pineapple, lime juice, and a splash of agave nectar. It only takes 5 minutes to make so you’ll have refreshing frozen daiquiris in no time!
Is there anything more refreshing on a hot summer day than a chilly frozen drink? With the blazing sun out, there’s nothing like a frozen pineapple daiquiri to cool you down. This recipe is made with only 5 ingredients and is alcohol free!
If you’re a non-alcoholic drinker like us, we highly recommend using alcohol free alternatives. There’s so many options out there now, and the zero proof white rum we use in this recipe makes all the difference. Don’t worry if you don’t have this yet though. You can always use water instead, but we suggest giving it a try if you can.
Even without the rum alternative, this virgin pineapple daiquiri is a tasty way to combat the summer heat. Plus, it’s super easy to make. Just throw everything in a blender and you’re good to go!

Ingredients
- Frozen Pineapple Chunks: For a thick and delicious frozen drink!
- Fresh Pineapple Chunks: We use a combination of fresh and frozen pineapple to get the right consistency. Using only frozen chunks will make your drink too thick while using only fresh chunks will make it too watery and lukewarm.
- Lyre’s White Cane Spirit (optional): This is a non-alcoholic white rum that we love using as an alternative to the real thing. If you haven’t tried alcohol free alternatives, give them a try! It gives your drinks that familiar taste without any of the alcohol.
- Fresh Lime Juice: You’ll need about 1 lime’s worth of juice.
- Agave Nectar: Just enough to add a bit more sweetness without being too sugary.
Tips
- Be sure to use both fresh and frozen pineapple. When we first tested this recipe with just frozen pineapple, it was too thick to drink (think smoothie bowl consistency). On the other end, if you’re using only fresh pineapple, you’re missing out on all on that frozen goodness. Plus, it’ll be much too thin.
- Use non-alcoholic white rum if you can! It’ll make it taste closer to a real daiquiri and adds an extra pop of flavor. Read the FAQ section below to find out where to get your hands on some.
- To keep your drink cooler for longer, place your glass in the freezer for 5 minutes or just enough to frost the glass. Take it out when you’re ready to serve and pour your drink into the glass.
- Be sure to use fresh limes. Old limes tend to lack juice and they give your drink an unpleasant, bitter taste.
FAQ
Lyre’s White Cane Spirit is what we use in this recipe. You can get it directly from their website or through low ABV vendors like No & Low. We highly recommend trying their other products too (not sponsored)!
No. Amber agave nectar has a stronger caramel flavor while light is more neutral. However, we tested both and there wasn’t a huge difference in taste. There’s just enough to balance out some of the tartness in this virgin pineapple daiquiri.
Yes, you can use cold water instead. If you use pineapple juice, your daiquiri might be too sweet when mixed with the agave nectar.
📖 Recipe
Virgin Pineapple Daiquiri
Ingredients
- 1 cup (150 g) frozen pineapple chunks
- 1 heaping cup (200 g) fresh pineapple chunks
- ¼ cup (60 ml) Lyre's White Cane Spirit or cold water*
- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice from 1 lime
- 1 tbsp agave nectar light or amber
Instructions
- Place all the ingredients into a high speed blender and blend until smooth. Use a tamper tool to push everything down to make sure there are no unblended chunks.
- Pour into a glass and garnish with a slice of fresh pineapple and a slice of lime. Enjoy!
Notes
- Liquid Substitution: Lyre's White Cane Spirit is a non-alcoholic white rum that adds complexity to the drink and makes it taste closer to the real thing (not sponsored, just love their products). If you can't get your hands on any, you can substitute with cold water instead. If you use pineapple juice, your daiquiri might end up being too sweet.
- Add the liquids to the blender first so the blade has an easier time blending the harder ingredients.
- To keep your drink cooler for longer, place your glasses into the freezer for 5 minutes until frosty.
